  1. "Sarah Paine - Why Putin and Xi can't escape geography"

Sarah Paine, more historical background here (vs just modern history)

  2. "Anton Leicht on the Fable ban"
  3. "Has AI Already Killed How-To Nonfiction? Sales Trends, My Personal Data, and What It Might Mean for the Future"
  4. "The economics behind the Spurs."
  5. "AI coding at home without going broke | Hacker News"

Codex $100 is plenty for even dedicated hobbyist coding IME, but if you're doing a startup I would get double $200 subs (OpenAI + Anthropic) and go from there. Paying API rates for me at work is thousands per month spend.

  6. "How a Tiny British Island Fell Into an International Gambling Scandal"
  7. "Guardian Angels: LLM Personalization for Productivity and Security"
  8. "Surpassing Frontier Performance with Fusion"

OpenRouter trying to standardize the common practice of blending expensive & cheap models. Also interesting is the "Preventing Models From Cheating" section, b/c it is a bit of tooling/tech to be able to run evals on models that can access eval-related data/solutions through general search (web, code search, or internal company search tools)

  9. "Every Frame Perfect" "Every Frame Perfect | Hacker News"
  10. "Police officer under criminal investigation over alleged use of AI" "Police officer investigated for using AI to 'create evidence' in multiple cases | Hacker News"
